Rehabilitation Counsellors play a vital role in supporting individuals as they navigate their journey back to daily life after experiencing a psychological injury.
The Role
This position involves working closely with clients to understand their goals and developing strategies to achieve them through a holistic approach to rehabilitation.
Main Responsibilities
* Managing complex physical and psychological injury cases, providing health coaching, career coaching and return to work support
* Conducting vocational assessments both in-person and virtually
* Fostering relationships with employers within NSW
* Utilizing award-winning psychosocial risk assessment tools to drive positive outcomes
Requirements
* Degree in Rehabilitation Counselling, Social Work or Psychology
* Eligibility for registration with ASORC, AASW or APHRA
* Experience working in a similar role within the Occ. Rehab sector is highly desirable but not required
* Excellent interpersonal skills including negotiation and consultation skills, with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
* Strong attention to detail with a results-driven approach
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively
* Ability to work independently and show initiative
* Well-developed research skills and ability to prepare, collate and organise data for reporting purposes
* Accuracy and efficiency in administration procedures
* Current Australian drivers' licence and access to own vehicle
* Police clearance and working with children check
