Medical Research Officer – Radiology Reporting
Location: Adelaide, South Australia
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: Aligned with the SA Health Salaried Medical Officers
Agreement, Senior Medical Practitioner classification, from $ 177,051 p.a.
We are seeking a medically qualified professional, preferably with
radiology training or experience, to support our structured radiology
reporting and AI/ML data frameworks. This research-focused role
involving:
Reviewing and critically appraising peer-reviewed radiology and
medical imaging literature
Extracting, synthesising, and validating clinically relevant findings
for structured reporting databases
Supporting the creation and refinement of structured reporting
templates and imaging lexicons
Collaborating with registered radiologists to ensure clinical validity
and accuracy of research outputs
Medical qualification (MBBS, MD, or equivalent); radiology experience
highly desirable
Advanced understanding of medical imaging and radiology principles
Experience in research, literature review, and clinical data validation
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Medical interpretive expertise is essential; the role requires
clinical knowledge that cannot be substituted by non-medical training
Registration
AHPRA registration is not required for this role. The position does
not involve independent clinical practice.
