About the Role The business is looking to appoint a Principal Structural Engineer / Structural Leader to help drive the next stage of growth within the structural division. This is a genuine leadership opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys winning work, building long-term client relationships and leading from the front. Key responsibilities include: Securing and helping deliver medium to large-scale projects Leading and mentoring a 10-person Structural Engineering team Playing a key role in shaping the direction and growth of the Structural business unit Strengthening relationships with existing clients and identifying new opportunities The role is flexible and can be tailored to the right individual, particularly for someone who enjoys the business development and client-facing side of consulting engineering. About the Candidate The ideal candidate will likely be operating at Principal Engineer, Structural Team Leader, Associate or Associate Director level (or above) within a consulting engineering environment. You will bring: Strong experience in structural design within the consulting engineering industry A proven ability to win work, develop client relationships and drive opportunities into the company Leadership capability, with experience mentoring or managing engineers Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to business growth Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Engineers who enjoy combining technical expertise with business development and leadership will thrive in this role.
