About The Role
As a Support Worker, you'll be part of a dedicated team helping the Katherine Community Centre deliver meaningful support to people in the local community. You'll assist clients as they access the service, help them connect with supports, and provide general reception and administrative assistance to keep the Centre running smoothly.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Katherine, NT, reporting to the Team Leader.
Pay is in accordance with the SCHADS Level 3 Award.
How You Will Make An Impact
* Welcome and support clients as they access the service.
* Build positive, respectful relationships that encourage self-determination and participation.
* Work collaboratively with staff, clients and external stakeholders.
* Maintain clear and regular communication with the team.
* Support clients to engage in their case plans as directed.
* Assist clients to access TSA and external support services.
* Keep accurate client records and data in line with TSA standards.
* Provide general reception and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.
What You Will Bring
* Self-motivation, initiative and a proactive approach to supporting others.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
* Experience working with people who may not have English as a first language, and an understanding of local Aboriginal communities and culture.
* Confident using everyday digital tools and systems, including email, databases and Microsoft applications.
* NT Driver's Licence (LR licence preferred or willingness to obtain).
