Job Overview

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) is a law enforcement agency that polices throughout Australia, preventing and detecting crimes against the Commonwealth.

This role leads capital projects and programs, responsible for initiating, planning, implementing, and finalising within time, budget, scope, resourcing constraints, and stakeholder expectations.


Main Responsibilities

* Deliver major infrastructure projects or programs through planning, procurement, public works submissions, construction, and commissioning phases.
* Develop accommodation solutions, principles, standards, and policies to achieve efficient use of premises and resources.
* Manage risk, scope, time, cost, and quality across multiple concurrent projects.
* Support funding bids, business cases, and high-level reporting to the executive board.


Essential Qualifications

* Australian citizenship at application time.
* Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or ability to obtain one.
* Understanding of Commonwealth procurement policies and legislation.
* Experience in delivering major capital works projects and programs.
* Leadership experience in project teams and team member technical capability development.
