Responsibilities
The CNS2 is responsible for the provision of high-level, person-centred, evidence-based clinical nursing care and embraces a practice development philosophy in its delivery. This includes undertaking comprehensive nursing assessments, referrals, providing expert consultation and educational support to staff, patients and family in the cancer setting. The CNS2 is responsible for evaluation and supervision in the provision of complex nursing care in the oncology area, undertaking comprehensive assessment and management of cancer patients within specified tumour groups to support and manage these patients. The CNS2 provides a service in consultation and collaboration with tumour stream CNCs, ensuring safe management of relevant patient groups, including care requirements for these patients. The CNS2 acts as a professional role model, delivering client advocacy and cost-benefit practice, and demonstrates leadership with the ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team. The CNS2 also assists in supervision and development of less experienced clinicians and maintains accountability in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia's Standards of Practice. Requirements

- Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Valid NSW Drivers Licence
- Post-registration qualification and at least 3 years’ experience in the clinical area of the specified postgraduate qualification, or equivalent qualifications/experience deemed appropriate.
This is a temporary full-time parental leave relief position until 19 April 2026 with the possibility of extension at same or reduced hours. Job share will be considered for this role.
