Position: Refrigeration and Airconditioning Mechanic
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $80,000 plus superannuation per annum
Location: Campsie NSW 2194
Our client is seeking a skilled Refrigeration and Airconditioning Mechanic to join their team located in Campsie, New South Wales.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Establishing job requirements from drawings and specifications, and lying out installation reference points
2. Drilling holes, installing mounting brackets and cuttings, bending and threading piping
3. Installing repairing components such as compressors, motors, and condensers, evaporators, switches and gauges, and copper lines for steam, gas, refrigerant, compressed air, oil and chilled water
4. Bolting, soldering, riveting, welding and brazing pipes to connect equipment and checking alignment and accuracy of fit
5. Filling systems with gas or fluid to check for leaks
6. Test-operating refrigeration systems, checking mechanisms and making adjustments
7. Removing test gas and fluid using vacuum pumps, and filling with refrigerant
8. Checking and overhauling refrigeration systems, diagnosing faults and repairing and replacing defective components
9. Adjusting system controls and mechanisms and reassembling systems
10. Recording causes of malfunctioning and action taken.
Requirements:
1. Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
2. RAC01 - Full refrigeration and Air Conditioning Licence
3. At least three (3) years of relevant experience as a Refrigeration and Airconditioning Mechanic or equivalent
4. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, their operation, and troubleshooting techniques
5. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, including multimeters, pressure gauges and leak detectors.
6. Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks efficiently and accurately
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
8. Positive problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
