Leading IT compliance, risk, audit and ITIL governance to ensure secure, policy-aligned transition of IT services and projects across the organisation.
About the Position
As the Senior Manager of IT Compliance, you will be responsible for providing management and direction for a team of motivated, high value staff working in records management, risk, audit and key ITIL frameworks, to facilitate the safe transition of IT services and project outputs into the business.
As Senior Manager Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in governing the changes implemented by the IT teams. In this role, you will be responsible for the definition, establishment and embedding of a policies, processes, and framework for IT and in conjunction with strong support from the Deputy Director of Portfolio Transformation, a large team of technical staff and an engaged IT leadership team - you will help embed portfolio wide metrics that improve the maturity of compliance with polices and standards, while providing critical functions to the IT department and provide information for the Governance office, Privacy Officer, Legal and Director of Risk and Assurance.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience working in audit, risk, governance or compliance roles, with demonstrated understanding of technical service delivery.
* Demonstrated extensive information technology and business risk management experience, encompassing strategic, conceptual and analytical skills.
* Proven capability to define, develop and manage information governance frameworks.
* Proven capability to refine and identify challenges in key processes and work within frameworks.
* A record of building strong and productive relationships to deliver projects or programmes with high level planning and communications.
* Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to negotiate, influence and build consensus at senior levels and with diverse stakeholders on complex, sensitive issues. This includes communicating complex technical issues and recommendations to non-technical staff.
* Proven capacity to understand and interpret policy requirements and their impact on a university or similar large institution.
* Highly developed management skills with the ability to build effective high-performance teams and engage in difficult conversations with staff in accordance with organisational policies.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 10. The base salary will be in the range of $133,156 - $147,782 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $155,792 -$172,904 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
