More about the Role:
We’re looking for a proactive and organised HR / Executive Assistant to join the steady and supportive team. In this dual-function role, you’ll work closely with our Company Director and leadership team to support both strategic HR initiatives and day-to-day administrative functions.

In this role, you will:
Executive & Administrative Support
Assist the Company Director with executive tasks, diary management, and travel coordination
Provide general office administration and reception support
Act as a key point of contact for internal coordination and communications
HR Support & Compliance
Support end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
Maintain accurate employee records, including training and skills matrices
Monitor and manage certifications, licenses, and compliance checks
Assist with visa applications and migration support for employees
Learn payroll and timesheet processes to act as backup during leave periods
Employee Relations & Wellbeing
Promote employee wellbeing and a positive workplace culture
Support performance management, workplace disputes, and grievance resolution
Partner with department heads to implement team development initiatives
Ensure HR policies and procedures are current and compliant with legislation
Support adherence to the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards (NES)
Contribute to WHS policy development and implementation
Manage leave requests and entitlements in line with company policies
Important to note:
This is a standalone role, so experience in a similar position whether within a small business or as the sole HR/office support is essential while being open to supporting the Director.
The Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience in a standalone or small-team role with HR responsibilities
A base level understanding of the Fair Work Act, NES, and employment compliance requirements
Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Solid organisational and time management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy across documentation and data entry
Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS or payroll systems
Sound written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
Full Australian working rights
High emotional intelligence with the ability to navigate diverse personalities and situations
A qualification in Human Resources or Business Administration and/or Payroll is desirable but not essential.
