Adelaide Bragg Interiors is seeking a skilled Interior Designer / Interior Architect to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical focus, exceptional attention to detail, and a love for refined, timeless residential design.
Our work combines architectural structure with layered interiors, natural materials and a sense of enduring Australian character. We are looking for someone who thrives on precision, craftsmanship and collaboration — turning concept ideas into beautifully resolved drawings and presentations using tools such as ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign and rendering software.
About the Role
You will work closely with Adelaide and the design team to develop and deliver bespoke residential projects from concept to completion.
This is a hands‑on, detailed and varied role spanning concept development, spatial planning, joinery design, technical documentation, project coordination and site supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine design concepts, spatial planning and interior architecture
- Produce detailed technical drawings, including floor plans, elevations, section drawings, furniture layouts, joinery documentation, and lighting and electrical layouts
- Prepare appliance, finishes and FF&E; schedules
- Create mood boards, presentations and client‑facing design packages
- Coordinate with architects, trades and consultants to ensure design intent is maintained
- Support FF&E; sourcing, procurement and installation where required
- Attend site meetings, review shop drawings and resolve design or construction queries
Skills & Experience
CAD & Design Software
- AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Vectorworks or similar
- 3D rendering software such as Enscape, V‑Ray or Lumion
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
Technical Capability
- Confidently produce floor plans, elevations, furniture plans, joinery/cabinetry drawings, lighting plans and electrical layouts
- Ability to deliver complete, coordinated drawing sets suitable for clients and all trades
- Confidence preparing specifications, schedules and concept presentations
Professional & Soft Skills
- Clear, thoughtful communication and presentation skills
- Solid project coordination across timelines, budgets, trades and suppliers
- Ability to manage vendor relationships, lead times and alternatives
- Calm, practical problem‑solving on site and during times of change
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and documentation
- Collaborative, positive approach within a close‑knit team environment
Preferred Experience / Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in a similar role
- Experience producing custom joinery documentation for high‑end residential projects
- Strong understanding of Australian building codes and regulations, particularly relating to residential renovations
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related field
