Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking a Analyst Programmer to join their team.
The Analyst Programmer is responsible for analysing, designing and developing data analytics and reporting to support evidence-based policy development and providing quality information services related to energy programs and associated policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Data analysis – Conduct applied and statistical analyses, interpret and analyse program data, provide advice and contribute to program evaluation resulting in improved system performance.
* Quality assurance – Extract and manipulate data from multiple sources and undertake data validation to ensure data integrity and create accurate and meaningful reports to inform policy development.
* Provide recommendations to improve the availability, quality, reliability and security of program data.
* Data management - Manage program data and the operational systems for collecting program data with operational staff
Selection Criteria:
* Understanding of local or international energy markets.
* Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new analysis and modelling techniques as required.
* Experience with the following data analytics tools will be highly regarded: Python, R, SQL.
* Experience with data analysis techniques including statistical analysis and use of programming languages (e.g. DAX, R, Python)
* Experience with data management and visualisation software (e.g. MS Excel, PowerPivot, PowerBI,ArcGIS)
* Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new analysis and modelling techniques as required.
On offer is a 6-month contract at a highly sought after NSW Government Organisation, with a highly competitive daily rate.
