About the Role
We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Farm Hand to join our dedicated team. As an integral part of our business, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our thriving agricultural business, contributing to the overall success and growth of our enterprise.
Daily duties will include but not be limited to:
* Assisting with a variety of farming tasks, including planting, harvesting, and maintaining crops
* Operating and basic maintenance of farming equipment and machinery like tractors and associated planting and tillage equipment with care and efficiency
* Carrying out work programs as devised with the Farm Manager.
* Farm road and field maintenance with drag buckets
* Ensuring the implementation of all safety protocols and environmental regulations
* Chemical applications via boom, hand spraying, and camera spraying.
* Participating in ongoing training through toolbox talks to enhance your skills and knowledge
About You
Along with your strong work ethic and experience in a similar position, you'll have/be:
* Proven experience as a farm hand or in an agricultural role, preferably in the farming, cropping, and conservation industry
* Strong practical skills and knowledge of farm equipment operation and maintenance is preferred but not essential - including use of Case and John Deere GPS guidance systems
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and diligent work ethic
* Irrigation and/or dryland cropping experience is preferred but not required.
* Chemical handling certification preferred but not required.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality
* Adaptability and the willingness to learn new skills and techniques
* A valid manual driver's licence and the ability to obtain any necessary licences or certifications required.
