About the Role

Our client is seeking a Customer Service Officer to join their team, focusing on waste services and Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) programs.
In this role, you will:
Provide high-quality customer service via phone, email, and other channels.
Assist residents with enquiries related to waste services and FOGO.
Evaluate customer needs and determine the best course of action to resolve issues.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of services, policies, and procedures.
Handle complaints professionally and ensure a positive customer experience.
Contribute to the development of customer service policies and procedures.
Support workplace health and safety standards and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Identify and report service delivery issues.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and safety systems.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Relevant qualifications and/or experience in customer service.
Minimum 12 months in a similar role.
Strong communication skills across phone, email, and face-to-face.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Previous experience in local government.
Ability to work flexible hours and in a team environment.
Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence.
