Overview
The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet is seeking experienced Organisational Change Managers to drive change management activities on IT projects.
With a strong focus on engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, from APS staff to senior executives, the successful candidates will play a key role in building alignment, managing expectations, and ensuring effective communication through the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidates will possess a deep understanding of change management principles and bring proven experience in supporting change in technology-driven environments.
Key duties and responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Conduct detailed change assessments to identify potential impacts of IT projects on various business areas and processes
Develop and implement structured change management strategies and plans to support successful adoption of IT systems and business process changes
Undertake change impact assessments and develop readiness, transition and adoption plans across impacted business areas
Engage and coordinate with key stakeholders to drive awareness, gain buy-in and engage throughout the project lifecycle
Support learning and capability uplift through training needs analysis, training coordination, and development of user support materials
Monitor and report on readiness and change adoption, including risks, issues, and progress against key milestones
Support benefits realisation by fostering behavioural and process changes to achieve project outcomes and benefits
Performance and deliverables will be regularly monitored against agreed activities and milestones.
Selection Criteria
The client has requested a 5,000 character (~1,000 word) summary response addressing all of the criteria.

Essential criteria
Demonstrated 5+ years' experience in organisational change management working within a project or program team.
Demonstrated experience in leading change management in a complex technology-based environment.
Demonstrated experience with the application and understanding of Organisational Change Management Strategies and Methodologies.
Strong understanding of project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills to solve complex problems with the ability to link operational tasks to organisational goals and strategies.
Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and understanding of business priorities.
Highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to liaise, consult and negotiate with a range of stakeholders in a variety of contexts.
