Warnbro Community High School (WCHS) is seeking a highly motivated and effective Science Teacher. Our moral purpose is 'to make a positive difference to the lives of young people'. As a teacher at WCHS you will be part of a professional learning community committed to engaging in practice supported by evidence and research to best meet the needs of our students. WCHS is embedding an explicit teaching approach across all Learning Areas.
The Role
You ideally will be a passionate teacher of Science with a proven ability to engage students across all levels including Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR). The successful applicant should have high expectations, exhibit a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. You will ideally be experienced and knowledgeable in teaching Science, as well as being flexible and adaptive to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching.

* Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. More information about employment eligibility can be found on our website.
* Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
