We are specifically hiring for qualified disability support workers experienced in providing high physical and complex needs support for a female participant in the Sunbury and surrounding area. The candidates must have all the required NDIS compliances and requisites.

About The Role
We are looking for suitable and qualified Disability Support Workers who can make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with high physical and complex needs. Support Workers will strive to achieve their goals, enhance community participation and promote inclusivity.
Please note that we would look favorably on applications where there is experience in trauma informed practice, working with individuals who have high physical support needs and experience working with complex behaviours of concern including sound experience in implementing Behaviour Support Plan.
Responsibilities
- Empower Participants to exercise personal choice, initiative, independence and self-expression
- Ability to report and manage potential risks, Restrictive Practices and incidents
- Implement the individualized Health Support Care Plan
- Provide enjoyable and safe environments for participants
- Support individual interests, hobbies, and relationships
- Engage actively with participants, fostering personal growth
- Ensure privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
- Participate in regular Care Team Meetings
- Assist with personal care, meal preparation, medication administration & transportation
- Provide accurate and detailed incident reports, progress notes and shift handovers
- Handle administrative tasks with discretion and sensitivity
About YOU
- Previous work experience with High Physical Support needs a MUST
- Expertise and experience working with participants with complex needs, for example working with individuals with BOC, BSP, trauma information practice
- Availability to work a 7-day roster which will be a combination of shifts including mornings, afternoons, active night shifts, weekends and public holidays a MUST
- Current National Police Record Check
- Medication endorsed certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- First Aid Certification
- CPR Certificate
- Manual Handling Certificate
- Valid Victorian Working with Children Check and Driver's License.
- Basic computer literacy skills
- Australian Citizen and Residents only
- Valid Driver License and your own, reliable vehicle (compulsory)
- Access to a vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
Qualifications & experience
- Qualifications such as a Certificate III in individual Support (CHC3315), Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) (CHC33015) or Certificate IV in Disability (CHC43115)
- Mental Health First Aid Certificate
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination
- NDIS Orientation
