BAA Finance is seeking an Accountant to join our growing Financial Accounting team as a Full Time; Permanent role based 100% onsite in Port Melbourne. The position reports to the Financial Accounting Manager.
Position Responsibilities
* Complete Month-end processes in SAP including intercompany balancing
* Maintain SAP GL (AUD & USD) in SAP
* Perform GL maintenance in SAP
* Maintain project budgets & settlements
* Review system interfaces for accuracy & timeliness
* Maintain Asset registers, run depreciation and complete monthly Asset reporting
* Prepare Monthly & Quarterly reports & Schedules
* Identify, complete and resolve GL reconciliations
* Maintain subledger, Cost Centre clearing and banking
* Review balance sheet provisions
* Support reporting requirements for Audit, FBT, Tax and month-end
* Review Financial compliance and adherence to GAAP and Boeing Company Policies
Basic Qualifications
* Hold relevant Accounting Degree and 2 – 5 years' experience
* Have commenced CA or CPA
* Be confident in applying GAAP and be ready to take the next step in your career in a hands‐on environment
* Familiar with using SAP
* Attention to detail along with investigation and problem‐solving skills
* Willingness to grow and manage tasks – to know what direction to go in and when to ask for help
* Demonstrated planning and organisational skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Good teaming and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across a diverse workforce

Additional Information
This is a non‐Enterprise Agreement IJC 9AHCI2 position and remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre‐employment checks and a 6 month probationary period.
