**Regional Development Coordinator**

**The Role**
Reporting to the Manager Regional Development, the Regional Development Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing a range of development initiatives for communities and businesses in the region to identify and facilitate place-based solutions to support enhanced liveability and prosperity in regional communities.
The responsibilities of the Regional Development Coordinator will include, but are not limited to:
- Utilise a significant understanding of the local region and its community, industry, and government context, local issues, and their context within the regional, State and national setting.
- Lead integrated investment in place by understanding, influencing, and negotiating with key internal and external stakeholders and partners.
- Lead investment attraction, economic development, and the delivery of a range of DJSIR/RDV industry and recovery initiatives across the region.
**The Team**
The position of Regional Development Coordinator forms a part of the Regions branch within the Regional Development and Outdoor Recreation group.
The Regional Development and Outdoor Recreation group supports the delivery of the Regional Development and Outdoor Recreation portfolios, and the department's emergency management responsibilities.
**About You**
- **Specialist Expertise**: Sound understanding of the key industry and economic drivers, and knowledge of Government policies and programs, current and emerging trends specifically related to rural and regional communities and industry.
- **Project Management**: Consults, liaises with and influences key stakeholders; produces detailed project plans where objectives are clearly defined and action steps for achieving them are clearly specified.
- **Stakeholder Management**: Identifies issues in common for one or more stakeholders and uses this knowledge to build mutually beneficial partnerships.
