The RFDS (Royal Flying Doctor Service) is seeking a general practitioner part-time to provide services to the Pilbara RFDS clinics.
Port Hedland is located 1,312km from Perth with a population of around 16,000. Port Hedland is the second largest town in the Pilbara, rich in Indigenous culture, pioneering history, and wildlife.
The Practice
The position will be based in Port Hedland with a potential FIFO job-share opportunity available, working 0.8 FTE. Working for the RFDS (Royal Flying Doctor Service) will require provision of comprehensive routine and emergency general practice care to patients in remote communities and nursing posts.
The Requirements
* FRACGP or FACRRM
* AHPRA registration, Specialist general practitioner, unconditional
* A minimum 5 year post graduate experience including general practice plus emergency medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics, and gynaecology
* Interest in clinical education and telehealth
* Prior experience in Indigenous health, remote community health care, and shared antenatal care - Desirable
* Completion of standard emergency courses such as ALS
The Package
* Base salary up to $305,155 (full-time equivalent)
* Salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum for everyday expenses and $2,650 per annum on meals and entertainment
