Why work with us:

The Office for Early Childhood Development has been formed with a clear mandate: to create a fairer and better future for all children in South Australia by implementing the accepted recommendations of the Royal Commission into Early Childhood Education and Care.

As the steward of the early childhood development system, the Office will act on government's behalf, and work in collaboration with the sector, to organise and connect the system to reduce developmental vulnerability.

This includes providing universal access to quality, teacher-led preschool from the age of 3, growing and sustaining a quality early childhood workforce, and greater supports and connected services for families in the 1000 days of a child's life.

About this role:

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst role has been created to lead the data capture and data analysis to monitor and inform progress towards the implementation of key early childhood reforms across the state.

Responsible for the design, delivery, and quality control of key reporting and data assets, you will lead the analysis of data, and develop data dashboards, visualisations, and reports, that outline service and sector progress related to the implementation of the reforms.

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst proactively analyses data to draw key insights to inform future planning and evidence-based decision making and works collaboratively with Local Teams and stakeholders across OECD to source data, prepare reports, and ensure the optimal use and translation of data.

Your Key Responsibilities:

* Manage the design, operation and review of data assets and models, and undertake data analytics services, to support strategic decision making related to system readiness and progress with the implementation of the reforms.
* Develop and maintain relevant data sources, including data dashboards and visualisations, to facilitate the development of summary reports, insights, and inform decision-making related to the implementation of the reforms across services and regions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders across the OECD.
* Provide specialist advice to identify, standardise and maintain relevant data sources and models as the inputs into a range of data products and methodologies across the work program.
* Lead the development of specialist advice in translating operational change management requirements to develop the supporting data platforms.
* Establish and manage relationships, partnerships and networks with executive management and key internal and external stakeholders across government agencies, to help to identify needs, refine broad requirements and define the form that effective solutions might take.
* Undertake activity to improve data collation and reporting, including determining goals, priorities, and objectives, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring data and information are tailored to the intended audience to maximise its value.

About you:

You will bring extensive expertise in data analysis, data visualisation, monitoring and reporting. Confident in stakeholder relationship management, you should be across reform priorities whilst monitoring emerging technology to support data collection and analysis. This role is challenging and rewarding, and to be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who brings:

* Data analysis and reporting: Extensive experience in leading programs of work involving investigation of the quality of data, and extracting, manipulating, analysing, maintaining and visualising multiple complex data using appropriate software to create dashboards, and inform planning, reporting, and decision making.
* Project management: Extensive experience in delivering high-level strategic projects using contemporary project management approaches, including determining requirements, initiating planning and conducting high level research, undertaking analysis of complex issues and providing expert advice.
* Autonomy: Demonstrated ability to work under very broad direction and exercise original thinking, creativity and significant levels of independent judgment and delegated authority to manage multiple priorities and timeframes.
* Strategic engagement: Extensive experience in successfully building and maintaining strategic relationships both internally and with stakeholders across government and non-government sectors and leveraging these relationships to achieve results.

Role Benefits:

* Opportunities for professional development and career growth within the public sector
* Work with senior officials across government and early childhood sectors.
