Are you ready to make a difference with one of the world's leading academic publishers and assessment organisations? Cambridge University Press & Assessment is looking for an experienced, flexible and motivated Regional Property Manager to cover our Asia-Pacific region. This role will be a fixed term 12-month appointment (with a possibility of extension) and based alongside our dynamic team in Port Melbourne. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a creative and collaborative environment, supporting our offices around the region whilst working closely with colleagues in the UK.

What you'll do:

As a key member of our dedicated team, you will:

Facilities Management: Oversee facilities management across the region, ensuring compliant and effective planned and reactive maintenance, cleaning, building security, health & safety and accessibility for all regional offices. Support office managers (ensuring each location has a nominated office manager and/or responsible person) across the region and be responsible for the region's property budgets. Be the facilities manager and responsible person for the Melbourne site.

Property Health & Safety: Manage health and safety compliance, including risk assessments, emergency procedures, drills, incident reporting, identification of local H&S legislative requirements, and MI reports, collaborating with the Global Health & Safety team based in Cambridge to support local procedures. Assist with general risk management support and ensure landlords meet their health & safety obligations.

Emergency Response: Coordinate emergency response and property related business continuity plans across multiple locations. Be the team's BCP focal point in region.

Corporate Real Estate: Support CRE activities such as lease management, property selection, sub-lets, service charge budget reconciliation and relationships with landlords, supporting the Senior Property Manager based in Cambridge.

Property Environment: Promote environmental sustainability by tracking energy use and supporting initiatives to reduce our carbon impact. Ensure environmental considerations are factored in to property selection and refurbishment/fit-out projects.

Other: Provide support to the corporate travel team as an in-region resource to help with travel risk and safety management. Collaborate with office managers, external contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain high standards and achieve team & organisational goals. Attend relevant meetings, provide training and contribute to the continuous improvement of property management practices. Collate data and provide periodic reporting.

Preferred qualifications and skills:

Extensive knowledge of health and safety legislation, facilities management (FM) processes and corporate real estate operations across APAC.

Experience managing multi-site portfolios, emergency response planning and implementing new procedures.

Proven ability to lead and deliver projects, manage contracts and service providers and achieve property improvements.

Strong collaboration, cultural awareness and communication skills, with a track record of building effective partnerships.

Experience in setting budgets and working to them.

Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.

Knowledge and experience of property-related business continuity matters.

High computer literacy: Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, CAFM systems, etc.

Hybrid working conditions:
