Role Overview
As an Operations Manager at IMS Australia, you will oversee day‐to‐day business operations, ensure project efficiency, and lead teams to deliver high‐quality results. This hands‐on leadership role requires strategic planning, workforce management and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, productivity and adherence to safety and quality standards.
* Manage mobile and fixed plant maintenance projects, ensuring timely execution and cost control.
* Develop and implement operational strategies and business improvements aligned with company goals.
* Lead and mentor teams, fostering a high‐performance work culture.
* Ensure compliance with Australian safety regulations, industry standards and IMS Australia policies.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring seamless project delivery.
* Work closely with senior management to optimise resource allocation, budgeting and workforce planning.
* Identify operational risks and implement proactive solutions to improve performance.
About You
* Proven experience in operations management, preferably in mining, maintenance or industrial services.
* Strong leadership and team‐management skills, with a focus on safety and quality.
* Experience overseeing mobile and fixed plant maintenance projects is highly desirable.
* Strong problem‐solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
* Ability to develop and implement operational strategies that drive efficiency and profitability.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder‐management skills.
* Strong understanding of Australian workplace safety regulations and compliance requirements.
