Annapurna Restaurant Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking food in a professional dining environment while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities Examine foodstuffs to ensure freshness and quality Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards Season food appropriately during cooking Portion food, plate dishes, and add gravies, sauces, and garnishes Store food in temperature-controlled facilities in compliance with food safety standards Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements Assist with menu planning and estimating food and ingredient requirements Train and supervise other kitchen staff and apprentices when required Skills Qualifications AQF Certificate III including at least two years of relevant on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) Proven experience working in a commercial kitchen Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Good communication and teamwork skills How to Apply Interested candidates are invited to send their resume and a brief cover letter to: *************************
