**About the role**
The Risk Lead role is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that BVAC AU's risks are identified, assessed, monitored, and appropriately managed to help BVAC be the most trusted provider of residential aged care. The Risk Lead ensures issues and actions are effectively managed and change, or process improvement initiatives appropriately consider the delivered risk.
**In this role, you will have the opportunity to** 
- Lead risk assessment and risk profiling activities, monitoring of the risks and control environment, and management of issues and incidents. 
- Provide guidance, processes, templates and support with the governance, risk and compliance (GRC) system to facilitate risk management activities. 
- Influence, coach and educate Leaders and stakeholders assisting them to better understand their risk and control environment to manage key risks in delivering BVAC AU strategy and objectives. 
- Ensure that the quality of risk and control data in the GRC system is of a quality that meets internal standards. 
- Deliver insightful reporting on risk profile and work with stakeholders to determine where remedial action is required. 
- Work with business change drivers to ensure that delivered risk is identified, assessed and appropriate controls established. 
- Follow up review to ensure successful implementation of controls following change or process improvement.
**To be successful in this role, you should have**:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, risk management, or a related discipline 
- 2-3 years experience essential in risk management and/or quality management roles in large organisations in industries such as health care, insurance, and/or financial services 
- Experience in design and documenting controls as well as developing control test scripts, and undertaking controls assurance 
- Strong analytical, verbal and written reporting skills to communicate risk concepts and deliver meaningful information to management 
- Experience in leading and facilitating risk workshops 
- Strong foundation in logic and highly attuned process orientation, with a focus on root cause analysis and cause/effect 
- A proven track record of effective stakeholder management and successfully driving outcomes 
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with emphasis on achieving results and successful outcomes through consultation and collaboration
