We are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join VIC Transport Team as a **Transport Supervisor **for a 5 day work week. This newly created role is supporting the Transport Manager is available on AM shift: Tuesday to Saturday at our Melbourne Fresh Distribution Centre (MFDC) in Truganina.

**The Opportunity**

As a Transport Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and assisting with the accurate planning and allocation of loads to vehicles and responsible for communicating and working collaboratively with the DC teams and customers to achieve Business objectives.
**Key responsibilities
- Liaise with VIC Transport Teams, 3PL's and DC Operations teams of progress and status of loads, schedules and strategies
- Updating the Transport Management team on a real-time basis of any operational / service concerns or non-compliance
- Actively seek out and implement cost saving or efficiency improvement initiatives within the Vic transport operating model
- Liaising with appropriate personnel to achieve adherence to curfews, cross-docking and top uploads
- Overseeing the allocation of loads to meet store requirements and ensure on-time delivery to our customers
**Who we're looking for**
Together with demonstrated success in a similar role and your ability to influence, we are seeking the following skills and experience:
- Have an understanding and experience in transport / dispatch / warehousing or DC's
- A good understanding of the Chain of responsibility
- Enjoys autonomy being a self starter
- Have intermediate computer skills - Google, Excel, Word
- TMS advantageous but not mandatory
- Possess strong communication Skills
- Have a strong customer Service focus
- Proven problem-solving abilities
- Be results oriented
