About the Role
As an Import Operator, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing import shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining strong relationships with customers, carriers, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the end-to-end import process, including booking shipments, tracking cargo, and ensuring timely delivery.
Liaise with clients, shipping lines, and customs agents to ensure seamless communication and operations.
Prepare and process import documentation in compliance with customs regulations.
Monitor and manage shipment schedules to meet deadlines and client expectations.
Address and resolve any operational issues or delays that may arise.
Maintain accurate records and update systems to reflect shipment statuses.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in freight forwarding or import operations is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of customs clearance processes and international shipping regulations.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Proficiency in Cargowise and Microsoft Office Suite.
A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
