About the Role
As a Cook at one of our care homes you will provide well-presented and nutritious meals in a home like environment. Your passion for food along with your person-first approach will make a real difference to the life of our residents.
Duties
* Plan and prepare well balanced and nutritious meals for our residents
* Liaise with residents, families, and the care team to ensure residents’ dietary, individual and cultural needs are met
* Support the efficient functioning of kitchen and catering services
* Comply with all infection control and food safety procedures
* Perform administrative duties related to the kitchen operation such as stock taking, and food quality assessment
Skills and Experience
* Previousexperience in the preparation and delivery of meals within a similar environment
* Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is preferred but not essential
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to solve problems independently
