About the role
DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront is seeking a passionate and talented Bar Manager to lead our busy Bar Operations at 18 Knots rooftop Bar. Our Bar Manager will be a beverage enthusiast who is passionate about delivering an unsurpassed bar experience. To thrive in this role you will have experience managing and motivating our bar team, exceptional industry acumen, an outstanding customer focus, and be highly visible throughout service.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the key responsibilities of this role include:
·Prepare weekly schedules for bartender and server staff to adequately cover all shifts.
·Monitor inventory of beverages to ensure adequate stock is maintained.
·Oversee cleanliness of team members and physical bar area, paying special attention to possible health hazards.
·Review sales and beverage costs, and reconcile any discrepancies.
·Resolve guest complaints promptly and according to company guidelines.
·Oversee the preparation of beverages and ensure the quality of the product served.
·Manage the day-to-day operation of the bar within relevant legislation regarding the service of alcohol and licensing.
·Implement improvements for products and services.
Our successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills, and competencies:
·Previous bar management or supervisory experience within dynamic and fast-paced environments.
·Exceptional leadership skills with the proven ability to coach and mentor a team
·Commercial awareness to manage the financial performance of the outlet.
·A passion for hospitality, up to date with the latest industry trends, and the ability to drive new initiatives.
·Exceptional grooming standards appropriate for a full-service environment.
·Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings and late nights as required.
·Strong product knowledge and advanced stakeholder management skills.
·Hold an Approved Manager's Licence or be willing to obtain it before commencement.
