Job Description
Rise Bakery Newstead is a French-inspired Restaurant and Bakery. We have locations in Sanctuary Cove and Brisbane where we're known for our artisan pastries, handcrafted breads, champagne bar, and vibrant café atmosphere. We're now seeking a passionate Chef De Partie/ Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team and contribute to delivering the high-quality food that defines the Rise Bakery experience.
About the Role As a Chef De Partie/ Pastry Chef, you'll work closely with the Head Chef and Restaurant Manager to prepare and plate dishes to exacting standards. You'll support daily kitchen operations, uphold food safety, and contribute to a positive team culture.
This is a hands‑on role in a busy kitchen, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in consistency and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items to Rise Bakery's standards
* Assist with food prep, plating, and kitchen organisation
* Maintain stock levels and follow cleaning/maintenance schedules
* Adhere to OH&S and food safety standards at all times
* Support opening, closing, and daily service procedures
* Handle guest and team feedback constructively
* Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment
What we're looking for
* Experience or strong interest in the restaurant or café industry
* Effective planning, organisation, and time management skills
* Problem‑solving ability and a proactive approach to challenges
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* Basic computer literacy for kitchen administration
* Excellent personal hygiene and presentation
