These roles provide expert environmental advice and support for Defence outcomes and activities.Role Overview:Operational support with a focus on stakeholder engagement and partnering.Implementing national Defence and environmental policies, plans, and initiatives locally.Addressing issues from contamination to heritage, biodiversity, biosecurity, and environmental assessments.Leading practical environmental advice and support, ensuring sustainability and compliance.Collaborating with military, industry, and other stakeholders.Potentially managing a small team of environmental and sustainability professionals.This role offers unique opportunities to work on diverse sites and expand your environmental management skills.
It is primarily office-based with occasional travel to regional and remote Defence sites.About Our Team:As Australia's largest landowner, Defence manages over 3 million hectares across numerous sites with significant environmental and heritage values.
Our local Environment and Sustainability teams provide vital advice, working within a national framework and supporting initiatives like Net-Zero.
