About the Role
The Business Support Officer plays a vital part in our Planning and Business Support Team, providing professional, responsive, and confidential administration services across the Eyre Peninsula Region.
This role is responsible for efficient and effective administration work and customer service support, communicating with stakeholders and team members as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide internal and external clients with high-quality customer service, advice, and information regarding Landscape Board matters.
* Support the Business Team in achieving outcomes through high-standard administrative support and contributions to business systems and process improvements.
* Coordinate committee meetings (e.g. WHS&W Committee), including scheduling, agenda preparation, minute-taking, action recording, and monitoring.
* Administer accommodation and facilities, procurement, contract management, financial transactions, and reconciliations.
* Provide thoughtful project support, considering all colleagues involved.
* Effectively manage correspondence and records in accordance with SA Government legislation and board records management policy.
* Deliver a professional, friendly, and high-quality level of customer service to internal and external customers, including front counter duties and office functions.

* Manager Planning and Business Support (line manager).
* Planning and Business Support Team.
* Senior Management Team and employees.
* Eyre Peninsula Landscape Board committee members.
* Stakeholders, volunteers, community groups, service providers, local government councils, Australian Government departments, and other public sector agencies and non-government organisations.
Special Conditions:
* The position is based in Port Lincoln, South Australia.
* May be required to work outside normal hours.
* A current class "C" driver's licence and willingness to drive a government vehicle are essential.
* Develop and maintain productive relationships with managers and stakeholders, aligning with the Code of Ethics for the South Australian Public Sector.
* Contribute to a safe workplace by accepting responsibility for own and others' safety, identifying hazards, and participating in health and safety consultation.
* This role requires a National Police Clearance, which will be obtained upon appointment.
Selection Criteria:
* Proven experience in delivering effective and efficient administrative support services.
* Strong organisation and time management skills, including managing a high volume of work, changing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
* Demonstrated attention to detail, commitment to quality output, and continuous improvement.
* Ability to accurately use Microsoft software applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Experience working independently, contributing to a team environment, and collaborating effectively with various people using clear written and verbal communication.
* Demonstrate professional workplace behaviours and build/maintain effective working relationships.
* Ability to apply safe work practices and proactive approach to safety procedures.
