About the company:
Out Federal Government Client is seeking an APS6 Project Officer. The Project officer is required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. It will assist in the strategic planning, program and project management.
About the role:
* Developing and managing project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
* Providing specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders.
* Performing independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant project activities.
* Coordinating regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
* Preparing draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
* Monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.
* Identifying and assisting with the management of project risks, issues and benefits.
Desirable skills:
* Researching and identifying insights contributing to Agency understanding of information.
* Co-creating and documenting current state service through design and research, to identify current participant and staff experience and business processes.
* Co-creating and co-facilitating process design improvements.
* Advocating for the voice and experience of participants and stakeholders through work processes.
* Co-facilitating design-thinking sessions with service users to design and test future service processes, channel and experiences.
* Applying in-depth knowledge of the role and functions of the agency and the related impacts across work areas.
* Overseeing end-to-end service experiences in line with the Digital Service Standard, ensuring changes are based on participant and staff need and are consistent for all users across different touchpoints.
* Contributing to the evaluation of proposed solutions and design at both a conceptual and tactical level.
* Assisting management with the use of system tools and other duties as required.

* APS5 - $60.26 per hour + super
