Job Title: Mechanical Integrity Specialist

Job Description:

This role plays a critical part in ensuring operational efficiency and safety within our facilities.


About the Role:

A key position responsible for executing engineering tasks, focusing on operational needs. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Operations Engineering Team Lead to deliver timely, cost-effective, and quality engineering solutions while adhering to safety and compliance standards.


Key Responsibilities:
* Lead HSE initiatives and ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
* Provide expert mechanical and integrity engineering support for gas processing, water treatment, and wellsite facilities.
* Optimise and improve existing infrastructure to boost performance and manage lifecycle costs.
* Troubleshoot equipment issues and conduct root cause analysis to implement effective corrective actions.
* Perform fitness-for-service assessments and manage inspection data for critical equipment.
* Mentor and supervise junior Mechanical Integrity Engineers, fostering their technical development.
* Maintain accurate equipment and system documentation, ensuring clear communication of engineering outcomes.
* Collaborate across teams and represent operations in project reviews to achieve shared goals.

What We're Looking For:

You will be a self-driven team player with the ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of people across levels, building positive, productive working relationships.


Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, or equivalent Engineering.
* 8–15 years of experience in mechanical or integrity engineering, ideally in operational or maintenance support.
* Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is essential.
* Proven ability to deliver practical engineering solutions under tight deadlines.
* Strong understanding of mechanical design, failure modes, and asset integrity strategies.
* Experienced in Australian and International Welding Standards and NDT techniques.
* Hands-on experience with operations, maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting in industrial settings.
* Proficient in fitness-for-service assessments and operational engineering practices.
