A rare opportunity has opened for a highly skilled Prepress Operator to join our production division. Someone who takes pride in accuracy, speed, and consistency, and enjoys being a vital link between design and production.
The Role
As a senior member of the prepress team, you'll be responsible for preparing and processing client artwork for production across a range of large-format printing machines. You'll work closely with the Production Manager to ensure every job that leaves prepress is accurate, colour-checked, and production-ready. This role suits someone who thrives on structure and precision, with a quick & focused approach to problem-solving and keeping the workflow smooth and efficient.
Key responsibilities
* Prepare, check, and process artwork files for print using Adobe Creative Suite and PrintFactory RIP.
* Manage colour consistency, bleeds, scaling, and file integrity for a variety of substrates and applications.
* Liaise with production to ensure print-ready accuracy and workflow efficiency.
* Operate and maintain large format HP Latex printers and perform light finishing when required (weeding, cutting, trimming, packaging).
About You
You're confident on a computer, fast and accurate, and naturally detail-focused. You spot errors that others miss and take pride in getting things right the first time. You're not easily distracted and can switch between multiple jobs without losing precision.
To succeed in this role, you'll have:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in prepress for large format printing or signage.
* Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
* Strong technical understanding of print production workflows.
* Excellent time management and multitasking ability.

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable but not essential
* Experience with HP Latex printers and PrintFactory RIP.
* Experience in finishing (laminating, mounting, cutting, etc.).
* Familiarity with flatbed and router workflows.
* Basic graphic design skills to support the design studio during overflow.
