About the Company Our client, an growing global player in the FMCG sector, is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join their Group IT team based in Sydney. About the role The business has a small IT team to manage an support their Australian & New Zealand operations. As the organisation scales and matures, equally IT continues to evolve & mature (they are always looking for continuous improvement). They have also need to integrate some of their recent business acquisitions. The role is there to help with the maturation of IT: thoroughly spec out & better document some of the operational servers & networks, put together a plan to upgrade the systems (with a view to improving & enhancing) then rolling up the sleeves and delivering the plans. The company is also looking to migrate from VMWare to HyperV. There have also been some recent acquisitions that need to be best rolled into their environment. The organisation tends to use a number of SAAS products where possible, but many of the systems & underlying networks continue to run in an on prem model (for reasons of costs & connectivity). In terms of improving their IT environment, there is plenty of scope here. Whether it's process improvement, new tools, better communication across IT or the business, there is an appetite to hear where and how things can be improved - they're open to hearing about it. So what are we looking for? Someone with a can do attitude with an eye for improvements Strong Windows server experience (especially on-prem) Good networking skills Someone who comes from a smaller environment and is used to wearing multiple hats M365 experience spanning exchange, Teams, entra & SharePoint Good analytical & documentation skills A team player, who is able to work independently as well Your reward?
