We are a growing compliance, safety, and ISO consultancy based in QLD supporting clients across Australia and overseas. As our site-based safety advisory services continue to expand into 2026, we are seeking a Site Safety Advisor (Construction) to join our team.
This role offers autonomy, flexibility, strong mentoring, and a clear pathway into senior safety, HSEQ, or ISO consulting roles for those who wish to progress.
About the Role
This is a predominantly site-based safety advisory role, supporting construction projects through practical, visible, and proactive safety leadership.
You will act as an extension of our clients' teams, providing on-site safety support while also assisting with documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement activities.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on construction sites, engaging with workers and supervisors, and driving real safety outcomes with the option to develop systems and ISO experience over time.
Key Responsibilities
Site Safety Advisory (Primary Focus)
* Provide hands-on WHS and construction safety advisory support on client sites.
* Conduct site inspections, safety walks, and compliance assessments.
* Support site establishment activities, inductions, and permit systems.
* Deliver toolbox talks, pre-starts, and safety briefings.
* Assist with SWMS, JHAs, risk assessments, and task-specific controls.
* Monitor high-risk construction activities and verify controls are implemented.
* Support incident investigations, reporting, and corrective actions.
* Act as a trusted, visible safety presence on site when embedded with project teams.
* Liaise with supervisors, project managers, subcontractors, and client representatives.
Documentation & Compliance Support
* Review and update safety documentation, registers, and site records.
* Assist with prequalification submissions, audits, and client compliance requirements.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across client sites.
* Support reporting using digital tools and Microsoft Office.
Consulting & Professional Development (Secondary / Growth Path)
* Exposure to HSEQ and ISO management systems (ISO 45001, 9001, 14001,
* Opportunity to assist with audits, gap analyses, and system development.
* Ongoing mentoring to support progression into Senior Advisor or HSEQ Consultant roles.
What We're Looking For
This role is ideal for someone who has come from construction site environments and wants to apply their experience in a professional safety advisory role.
To succeed in this role, you will have most of the following:
* Experience working on construction sites in a safety-related role.
* Background as a Site Safety Advisor, Site Supervisor, Foreman, or similar.
* Strong understanding of WHS legislation and construction risk management.
* Experience with SWMS, JHAs, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
* Confident engaging with workers, supervisors, and site management.
* Practical, solutions-focused approach to safety.
* Strong documentation and reporting skills.
* Ability to work independently across multiple sites and report to the Construction & Safety Manager
* Competency with Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools – Buildpass highly regarded
* Current Australian driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
Highly Regarded (but not essential):
* Experience with ISO 45001 or other ISO standards.
* Construction Induction (White Card).
* Trade qualification or relevant trade certificate.
* QBCC Supervisor Licence (or eligibility to obtain).
* Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety
