Overview
A well-established Australian construction and industrial services business is seeking a National Business Development Manager to drive growth, secure new opportunities, and lead tender strategy across Australia. Reporting to GM/Director level, this is a senior role for someone who can build relationships, influence decision-makers, and convert strong opportunities into awarded projects.
Responsibilities
* Lead national business development and market expansion activities
* Identify, qualify and manage project opportunities across Australia
* Drive tender strategy and support end-to-end bid pursuits
* Partner with estimating/preconstruction teams to align capability and delivery
* Support contract, scope and risk reviews prior to award
* Strengthen brand positioning through proposals, capability statements and submissions
* Lead and mentor estimating/preconstruction resources where required
About You
* Senior experience in business development, estimating, or preconstruction within construction and/or steel fabrication
* Strong commercial acumen and confidence in tender environments
* Proven stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
* Self-driven, strategic, and comfortable operating nationally
* Strong communication skills and professional presentation
