Sales Development Specialist

Location: Sydney, NSW, Australia (Trainocate Group in partnership with Hatch)

Job Overview

This is a Sales Development Specialist role with Trainocate Group based in Sydney, NSW, AU. While your primary responsibility will be generating and qualifying leads, you will also have the unique opportunity to close deals, gaining valuable end-to-end sales experience. This is a hunter role with the majority of your time spent proactively identifying and pursuing new leads.

You will wear multiple hats across marketing, operations, and finance (billing support). You won't be doing it alone—there's a dedicated team to support these functions, but we value individuals who are willing to step in and contribute where needed as we continue growing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Identify, engage, and qualify potential customers through outbound prospecting and inbound lead follow-up.
2. Conduct sales outreach via phone, email, and social media to generate new business opportunities.
3. Work closely with the sales team to strategize and execute sales initiatives.
4. Manage the sales pipeline, nurture leads, and move prospects through the buying journey.
5. Take ownership of closing smaller deals while collaborating on larger sales opportunities.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor account managers to drive sales initiatives.
7. Assist with marketing initiatives, including campaigns, events, and content distribution.
8. Provide operational support, including CRM updates and reporting.
9. Collaborate with the finance team to assist in customer billing when required.
10. Contribute to a high-performance culture by proactively seeking learning opportunities and supporting team goals.

Qualifications

11. 2-3 years of sales experience, whether it be in sales development or business development.
12. Written and verbal communication skills.
13. Project management to support marketing initiatives that feed into sales leads.
14. Value for collaborations and teamwork.

Ideal Candidates Also Have

15. Australian market experience, specifically in the education or training industry.
