About the Role

The Accounts Coordinator - Licensed Venues, predominantly based at the Cowboys Leagues Club, will play a vital role in managing the accounts payable and receivable functions of the Club, reconciliation of bank accounts and assisting with the reconciliation and maintenance of Point-of-Sale software and systems. This role is a permanent part-time position, 30 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

* Perform daily bank reconciliations and prepare trading summaries.
* Process, match, and enter invoices into the accounting system with accurate digital filing.
* Update key financial spreadsheets, including cash flow, variance, and operational reports.
* Coordinate weekly creditor payment runs and assist with debtor collections.
* Reconcile credit card transactions, clearing accounts, and account card reports.
* Assist with month-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
* Provide support for Point of Sale (POS) systems and gaming-related financial processes.
* Maintain organised financial records, including archiving, meter readings, and general administrative tasks.

Qualifications & Certificates

* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business/Finance and/or accounting software desirable.

Relevant Experience and Key Competencies/Skills

* Minimum 1 year of experience in accounts payable/receivable or a similar administrative role within a licensed venue or high-volume transaction environment.
* Strong IT skills, including cloud-based software.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, integrity, and meticulous attention to detail in financial record-keeping.
* Clear and effective communication skills.
* A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
