Make every day different by joining our Senior Medical Workforce Unit. We have a current vacancy as Medical Administration Officer. As a key member of the Senior Medical Administration Unit, you will undertake a broad range of administration duties to support the existing team with the function and operation of Senior Medical Workforce priorities.
About us:
The Senior Medical Workforce Unit delivers specialised services to clients by providing expert technical and operational advice and managing key internal and external relationships. The unit supports all aspects of the senior medical staff pre-employment process to ensure each appointment complies with relevant policies, legislative requirements, and commencement standards.
Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service provide an extensive range of health services at more than 30 regional, rural and remote facilities across a geographical area of 142,900 square kilometres. The Health Service is 95 percent self-sufficient with only a small number of high-level acute services being provided in Townsville and Brisbane.

About your role:
* Support the day-to-day activities of the Senior Medical Workforce Unit including fielding general enquiries and undertaking general clerical duties.
* Assist with the recruitment and appointment activities to service the needs of the HHS in relation to Senior Medical Staff locum appointments.
* In collaboration with Senior Medical Administration staff provide advice on Payroll queries and administration functions to medical staff in order to maximise opportunities for enhanced service delivery.
* Effectively utilise a range of computerised information systems and software packages, including SAP, Work brain and GISMO.
