Job Summary : In this role, you will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders' involvement, through the coordination and instruction of subcontractor's management staff.
Your field supervision will help ensure operations are planned to coincide with overall established schedules and that work methods are planned and executed safely.
Major Responsibilities: Monitors and organizes subcontractor activities, through coordination and instruction of subcontractor's management staff within the area of responsibility.
Role supports on mid-size projects of medium to high complexity with multiple stakeholders' involvement.
Planning Monitors subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.
Reviews subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
Coordinates the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.
Safety / Quality Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements Enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.
Technical Supports Construction Field Engineers, Leading Hands, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Leading Hands and Craft Professionals.
Coordinates with Design on constructability issues.
Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or ***** years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated experience in hazardous areas (e.g., mining, oil knowledge of the contractor/subcontractor's responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.
Prior experience supervising and administering subcontractors.
Additional Information: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule as required that may include but not limited to nightshift or split shift.
Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including but not limited to: extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces.
Some lifting may be required.
Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress).
Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).
