The Role As the Readiness Manager, you will be responsible for developmentandimplementation of strategies required to ensure a successful transition to the new Maintenance Services delivery model, Yarra Valley Water's largest field services contract valued over $1billion for the contract term, with a focus on internal readiness. You will lead the implementation of maintenance insourcing initiatives, ensuring effective planning, stakeholder engagement, and execution. This role drives enhanced quality control, efficiency, and risk management in maintenance operations, enabling improved responsiveness, coordination, and customer satisfaction. The position ensures benefits are realised through streamlined processes and proactive change management. Your key responsibilities Lead, develop and manage a small team to efficiently and professionally manage the transition to the new maintenance services delivery model. Ensure insourcing plans are effectively prioritised, developed, and tested for business readiness. Engage and influence key senior stakeholders, including executives and management, while facilitating cross-functional collaboration to ensure insourcing initiatives are strategically aligned and supported by robust, business-ready implementation plans Develop, implement and lead the change management, including stakeholder impact, communication and training plan. Manage the execution of insourcing initiatives including providing oversight and coordination of nominated business leads, to implement agreed readiness initiatives. Provide specialist support to business units in planning and executing insourcing initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader operational goals to realise intended benefits, manage risk, and maintain service quality and efficiency through effective change implementation. Monitor, evaluate and report the impact of implemented changes to management and executive stakeholders, while proactively managing risk, streamlining coordination between internal teams and Maintenance Partners, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Be the point of escalation for any complex queries that arise from the transition to the new maintenance services delivery model. Work closely with the Service Response Division, resolving any increase in faults or customer issues What we're looking for Tertiary qualification in business, program/project management, engineering, science or equivalent discipline - Essential Proven interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders effectively Demonstrated experience in leading and coaching a team of professionals Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a clear ability to present complex ideas to various audiences Hands-on experience in managing and delivering projects from initiation to completion Expertise in designing and implementing process improvements to optimise efficiency and outcomes Strong experience in process mapping, developing business cases, and creating benefit realisation plans Advanced data collection and analysis skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights Proven track record in leading and executing change management initiatives to drive smooth transitions To view the full position description, click HERE.
