Head of School Indigenous Australian Studies
We are seeking a visionary leader to head our School of Indigenous Australian Studies, dedicated to promoting the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Australia's First Nations. The successful candidate will provide academic and cultural leadership, fostering an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and promotes reconciliation.
The Head of School will lead a team of academics in developing high-quality learning and teaching programs, innovative research collaborations, and strong community relationships with Wiradjuri elders, First Nations communities, and industry partners. As a member of the Provost's Academic Portfolio Leadership Team, you will contribute to university-wide priorities, driving collaboration across faculties and divisions.
To succeed in this role, you will require a doctorate in a cognate discipline relevant to the School or equivalent professional standing and reputation. You will bring demonstrated success in leadership and management of teaching and learning, with a record of enhancing student experience through innovative curriculum design and delivery of new programs.
A strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills, you will be able to build cooperative working relationships with diverse stakeholders, ensuring the School's teaching and research have meaningful impact and remain a trusted and respected voice within and beyond the university.
