Taldumande Youth Services is a leading not-for-profit youth homelessness organisation supporting vulnerable children and young people aged 12–24 years, and their families. Our supported residential accommodation and outreach community programs provide a streamlined pathway from homelessness and family breakdown to independence and long-term stability.

The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Residential Youth Worker to join our Families and Justice Programs team, working directly with children and young people aged 12–15 years.
Your focus will be on helping each child and young person recognise their strengths and potential while directly contributing to the achievement of their case plan goals in collaboration with Case Managers and the wider team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting daily routines: self-care, personal hygiene, meal preparation, household tasks
* Facilitating the development of age-appropriate living skills
* Actively participating in recreational and educational program activities
* Assisting with the day-to-day running of residential houses
* Providing support across varying hours including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts
* This role is ideal for those passionate about youth work and wanting hands‐on residential experience.
What We're Looking For
* Certificate IV in Youth Work or related qualification
* 1–2 years' experience in youth work, preferably in residential or outreach services.
* Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
* Flexibility for day, evening, weekend, and sleepover shifts
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrated conflict resolution and problem‐solving abilities
* Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment
* Willingness to attend compulsory training
* Full NSW Driver's Licence, access to a car, and comprehensive car insurance.
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Willingness to undergo Working with Children Check and Police Check
* Extensive experience in youth residential or outreach services
* Schads Award + penalty rates
