Position Vacant: Community Nurse (EN or RN) – NDIS Participants
Location: Perth – North & South of the River
Employment Type: Casual / Part-Time / Flexible Shifts
Remuneration: Competitive hourly rates (based on experience and qualifications)
About the Role
We are expanding our dedicated team of community nurses to support Paediatric NDIS participants across Perth. This is a rewarding opportunity for Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) passionate about person-centred care in a community setting.
You'll provide in-home clinical support and high intensity support for participants with complex needs, helping them live safely and independently in their homes. Work is available both North and South of the River, with flexibility to suit your availability.
Additional Opportunity:
School holiday shifts are also available at our warm and welcoming respite home, Myka Place – supporting children and young people in a safe, home-like environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering safe and compassionate nursing care in clients' homes
* Supporting participants with:
* Medication administration and management
* Enteral feeding (PEG/NG)
* Wound care and skin integrity monitoring
* Catheter care and continence management
* Tracheostomy care (where required)
* Clinical documentation and reporting
* Seizure Management
* Liaising with support coordinators, allied health, and families
* Contributing to client care plans and ongoing health assessments
Essential Criteria
* Current AHPRA registration (EN or RN)
* Minimum 2 years' post-graduate experience in nursing or community health
* NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain
* First Aid & CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain
* Manual Handling Certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Current driver's licence and own vehicle
* Competence in medication administration and enteral feeding
Desirable Skills
* Experience with NDIS participants or disability sector
* Tracheostomy care knowledge or training
* Excellent communication, documentation and clinical judgement
* Flexibility to travel within Perth metro area
* Confidence working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
