CASWA works closely with ACCOs to ensure Aboriginal-led solutions drive systemic change, particularly in areas such as justice, health, housing, and child protection.
About the role
CASWA is seeking a highly capable Finance and Office Manager to join our small, values-driven team. This standalone role will be responsible for overseeing all finance, payroll operational business functions of the organisation, with a particular focus on leading the transition of financial services from AHCWA and embedding strong internal systems and processes to support CASWA's establishment and growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role that blends financial management with corporate operations. The successful candidate will be confident managing the day-to-day financial function, while also bringing strategic oversight to budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance.
This position also oversees broader office functions, including facilities management, contracts and procurement, and executive support, making it ideal for someone with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and strong organisational capability.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage end-to-end financial operations including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, payroll, and BAS.
Lead the development and implementation of internal financial systems, controls, and compliance procedures.
Prepare and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, monthly reports, and acquittals.
Ensure compliance with all financial and regulatory obligations, including external audits and funding requirements.
Oversee office operations including procurement, facilities management, contract administration, and vendor relationships.
Lead the transition of finance and corporate support services from AHCWA and ensure continuity of business operations.
To excel in this role, you will have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
CPA/CA qualification or significant progress toward completion.
Minimum 3 years' experience in senior financial management roles.
Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks).
Strong experience in financial analysis, reporting, and strategic financial management.
Sound understanding of financial governance and compliance in a not-for-profit or government-funded environment.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
