Currumbin Clinic is a 104-bed private mental health hospital located on the Southern Gold Coast, delivering high quality care and positive patient outcomes. We have a team of dedicated Psychiatrists, Medical, Nursing, Allied and Administrative staff who provide expert care in the management and treatment of all acute mental health disorders.
Currumbin Clinic is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and registered Psychologists who are interested in this exciting career opportunity to join our Allied Health team as a Group Therapy Facilitator.
Must be available at least 2 days per week with opportunity for more hours. Weekend and weekday shifts available as desired.

About the Role:
Psychologists in our team have the following responsibilities:
* Be apart of a specialist PTSD Trauma Program when running throughout the year. This includes facilitating trauma based and trauma informed group therapy, 1:1 psychological sessions and report writing.
* When the trauma program is not running, you will be facilitating a range of evidence-based group therapy sessions for inpatients and day patients at the hospital.
* Share expert knowledge on the provision of psychological services within the diverse Allied Health team and hospital.
* Work collaboratively with team members including Social Workers, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Nursing staff, and Treating Psychiatrists
* Involvement in development of new services in line with the growth of Currumbin Clinic
* Work within a large and diverse Allied Health team with a strong positive team culture
Essential Criteria and Qualifications:
* Registration as a Psychologist (and endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist if relevant) with AHPRA.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in mental health (may include post-graduate training)
* Experience in assessment and treatment of PTSD and Complex PTSD
* Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently within a fast paced environment
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to take initiative and work autonomously within a team.
* Be adaptive, flexible, and self-motivated in your approach, sometimes needing to change group session plans on the day to support your team.
* All employees are required to complete and maintain their mandatory education and competencies in accordance with Currumbin Clinic policies and procedures.
* Experience in working with evidence based modalities such as CBT, ACT, and DBT.
* Training in EMDR
* Must be available on Wednesday to Fridays, and occasional half-day weekend shifts
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience working with clients presenting with severe and persistent mental health issues and complex needs.
* Experience working in a hospital setting where working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team is valued.
* Experience in the provision of group therapy with adults preferred.
* Experience and training in the provision of Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) preferred.
* Experience in working with First Responders or Veterans preferred.
* Experience in working with AODs preferred.
Vaccination Preventable Disease:
It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment:
• Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
• Varicella (chicken pox)
• Pertussis (whooping cough), Diphtheria and Tetanus
• Hepatitis B + Serology to confirm immunity
You must be able to provide serology evidence and a VPD form for the above-mentioned vaccinations and will be asked by the recruiting manager to supply this evidence if you are the preferred candidate for the role. Please note you are not susceptible to the VPD's listed in the role description.
