Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced chef/cook to join our bakery team. The role focuses on the preparation and cooking of high-quality ingredients, ensuring consistency and compliance with food safety standards. You'll also be responsible for maintaining a spotless workspace and equipment. You will need to work efficiently during high-volume periods and deadlines, in a rapid-paced environment where you will contribute to kitchen operations while supporting a close-knit team of bakers and pastry chefs. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn more but also contribute to menu creation and execution. Monday to Friday working hours.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook high-quality ingredients with consistency and adherence to food safety standards.
* Maintain a spotless workspace and properly cleaned equipment.
* Work efficiently during high-volume periods and meet deadlines.
* Contribute to kitchen operations in a rapid-paced environment and support bakers and pastry chefs.
* Learn and contribute to menu creation and execution.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a chef or cook in a rapid-paced setting.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong work ethic and reliability.
* Good time management and organizational skills.
* Food safety knowledge.
Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
