Motivate Kids is seeking a Director of Therapy who leads with heart and drives meaningful change. You'll guide one of South Australia's most respected paediatric therapy teams — and help shape the future of neuroaffirming care across the country. We're not looking for average. Who Are We? Motivate Kids is a high-performing, values-driven paediatric therapy practice, proudly supporting neurodivergent children and their families across South Australia. We believe in delivering truly holistic care — with an approach grounded in sensory integration, polyvagal theory, evidence-based frameworks, and neuroaffirming care.
We are a team of 40, including 28 passionate clinicians, united by a shared commitment to purpose, growth, and clinical excellence. As Director of Therapy, you'll step into an executive leadership role reporting directly to the CEO.
With our next chapter mapped out and a clear blueprint in hand, we're ready to bring our vision to life! We're seeking a Director of Therapy (D.O.T.) to join our executive team — a pioneering leader who will help shape the future of paediatric therapy with heart, courage, and innovation.
About the Role As our Director of Therapy, you'll lead the clinical heart of Motivate Kids with clarity, compassion, and consistency. You'll bring vision to strategy and strategy to action — inspiring your team, empowering them to deliver exceptional therapy, and building what's next.
You'll be responsible for: Leading a high-performing, values-aligned therapy team Embedding best-practice frameworks across supervision, safety, documentation, and performance Ensuring gold-standard therapy across all service streams — including Intensives, FCAs, Mealtime Therapy, Groups, and other specialised services. Manage therapist yield, working with our Office Manager to oversee therapist rostering and client onboarding Building layers of leadership and mentoring emerging leaders Developing scalable systems ready for national expansion Identifying and implementing new service opportunities aligned with strategic priorities Contributing to business growth through grant writing, partnership proposals, and tender submissions Participating in quarterly and annual executive team events to contribute to big-picture strategy, alignment, and innovation We're Looking for Someone Who... Has 5+ years in senior OT leadership role and thrives in fast-paced, purposeful environments Is clinically sharp, emotionally intelligent, and strategically driven Has completed (or is open to) an MBA or AICD course Knows what it means to lead a team with integrity, heart, and high standards Is the type of person who played competitive sport, ran a business, or never gave up when things got hard Believes that accountability is care, and growth happens on the edge of comfort You'll Be Measured By...
