Job Description
The Media Relations Manager will play a vital role in shaping and protecting the brand image by developing and executing proactive media relations strategies. This role requires a highly motivated and experienced communications professional with a strong understanding of the media landscape, excellent writing and interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of securing positive media coverage.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and Implement Media Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive media relations plans aligned with overall business objectives, brand priorities, and marketing campaigns. \
2. Build and Maintain Media Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with key journalists, bloggers, influencers, and media outlets across print, broadcast, and digital platforms. \
3. Proactive Media Outreach: Identify and pursue media opportunities to secure positive coverage for L'Oréal's brands, products, initiatives, and corporate news. \
4. Reactive Media Handling: Respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner, providing accurate and compelling information. Manage crisis communications as needed, in coordination with the Director of Communications. \
5. Content Creation: Develop high-quality written materials, including press releases, media alerts, pitches, talking points, fact sheets, and backgrounders. \
6. Event Management: Support the planning and execution of media events, press conferences, product launches, and other relevant activities. \
7. Media Monitoring and Analysis: Track and analyze media coverage to assess the effectiveness of media relations efforts and identify areas for improvement. Report on key media metrics and provide insights to inform future strategies.
